The Wrigley Science Institute (WSI) is the first organization of its kind committed to advancing and sharing scientific research that explores the benefits of chewing gum.
The WSI is headed by Executive Director Gilbert A. Leveille, Ph.D., [Download PDF] one of the world's most respected nutrition and food scientists. Dr. Leveille leads a global advisory panel [Download PDF] of highly respected, independent experts, including researchers from the U.S., the U.K., Australia, and China, who are helping guide the pursuit of fundamental science behind the benefits of chewing.
Studies are conducted by independent researchers from leading universities, and results are being shared as they become available. Work completed to date is giving researchers a new way to think about chewing gum.
