2007 Lost Workday Records
2007 saw a fall in both the frequency and severity of accidents in our factories worldwide. Three factories in particular achieved recognition for record numbers.

Wrigley Confectionery (China) Limited Panyu Factory worked 2,723,834 hours over 17 months without a Lost Work Day accident.
Wrigley Confectionery (China) Limited, (Guangzhou Factory) worked 2,819,326 hours over 14 months without a Lost Work Day accident through the end on the 2007 year.
Wrigley India Pvt. Ltd. (Baddi Factory) worked 1,260,058 hours over 16 months without a Lost Work Day accident through the end of the 2007 year.
ISO & OHSAS Certified Factories
A number of Wrigley factories around the world have become ISO 14001 or ISO 18001 certified.

The Biesheim, France factory achieved a significant milestone, and set a great example, in 2007 by receiving both ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 accreditations. Louis-Philippe Goor, Factory Director, commented: "This is another step forward to become an active player in Safety as this is our first priority, and also to grow on business sustainability with a minimum impact on the environment."
Asquith, Australia Factory Receives SafeWork Award
Wrigley's Asquith Factory in Australia was awarded the "finalist award" at the NSW Work Cover, 2007 Safe Work Awards. Established in 2004, by NSW Work Cover, the Awards promote and recognize the highest standard of occupational health and safety in workplaces around New South Wales. The specific category that was awarded to Wrigley was "Best Solution to an Identified Workplace Health and Safety Issue".
