Volunteerism

Wrigley associates have a passion for service and are provided opportunities throughout the year to exhibit their generous spirit through the WAVE Program - Wrigley Associate Volunteer Effort.

Wrigley associates work together on varied group initiatives. From projects that improve the environment such as Chicago River Day in the U.S. and Plymouth Cares events in the U.K., to community projects like Habitat for Humanity, Wrigley associates generously provide their time and talent throughout the year.

Youth education is also an important focus area and Wrigley associates have generously contributed to numerous donation drives in the U.S. and personally sponsored the education of students in need in China.

Although group volunteer projects generally occur during business hours, the individual volunteer efforts Wrigley associates are personally engaged in are also valued and supported. Through the WAVE Grant Program, eligible charitable organizations receive a $250 grant when a Wrigley associate accrues 25+ hours of volunteer service during the program year.

In 2007, Chicago area associates realized the completion of the first Wrigley Habitat for Humanity house, which was the result of over 3,600 hours of their hard work.

Wrigley's Global Innovation Center sits on an 80-acre piece of land called Goose Island, bordered by the Chicago River. A team from Wrigley joined a larger effort during Chicago River Day to clean debris collected at the water's edge.

Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement

The Wrigley Company Foundation has supported local Junior Achievement programs near Wrigley facilities for over 20 years and more recently, Wrigley associates have provided their time and talent to bring the Junior Achievement curriculum to life for local students.
