CHICAGO (January 11, 2012) — Starburst® candy is partnering with VEVO, the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform, to sponsor the GO Shows series. Much like the solid and juicy sides of Starburst candy, music fans can discover the many sides of today’s hottest musical talent by viewing a series of concerts and engaging content, which will be released exclusively first for 24 hours at Facebook.com/Starburst.
Spanning 2012, Starburst Presents VEVO GO Shows will feature eight of today’s hottest musical artists and bands as they perform surprise pop-up concerts in destinations that have meaning to them or their music. By visiting Facebook.com/Starburst, fans can view the shows along with special photos, behind the scenes footage of the making of each GO Show and an archive of past concerts.
The first Starburst Presents VEVO GO Show, featuring Demi Lovato, will be available exclusively at Facebook.com/Starburst on Jan. 12 for 24 hours before it’s offered anywhere else.
The GO Show features Lovato paying it back with a surprise intimate performance of her hit single Give Your Heart a Break for her most dedicated fans that had waited in line for admission to a scheduled December 1 concert in Atlanta. While her fans waited for the doors to open, Demi pulled up on the back of a flat-bed truck to perform this up close and personal rendition for all her avid fans, even those with back row seats to her concert.
